WHERE IT
BEGAN

Extreme Wear was founded on a simple conviction: South African athletes deserve world-class custom apparel, made locally, built to perform, and designed to stand out on the podium and in the field.

Based out of Pinetown, Durban, we work directly with clubs, event organisers, and corporate teams to produce garments that go beyond generic off-the-shelf kit. Every piece is custom-crafted to carry your identity.

From cycling clubs and running events to corporate teams and school squads, if it moves, we'll outfit it. Our team brings technical knowledge, local manufacturing pride, and a genuine passion for sport to every order.

Branding Methods

BRAND INFORMATION

Direct-to-Film (DTF)
Artwork is printed onto a specialised film and heat-pressed directly onto the garment. Delivers sharp detail, strong colour reproduction, and consistent results across a wide range of fabrics.
Performance Advantages

  • Suitable for multiple fabric types and garment colours
  • Durable finish designed for repeated washing and wear

Sublimated Printing
Ink is infused directly into polyester fibres using heat and pressure. The result is a permanent, lightweight finish with no surface layer; the colour becomes part of the fabric itself.

  • Zero cracking, peeling, or fading over time
  • Breathable, lightweight finish for active use
  • Enables full-coverage and all-over garment designs

Embroidery
Designs are stitched directly into the fabric using industrial-grade thread. Produces a raised, textured finish that reinforces brand presence and communicates quality.

Step One
Briefing
Get in touch with our team and tell us what you're looking for. Our sales representatives will guide you on garments, materials, and branding options to suit your needs.

Step Two
Quotation
Once we understand your requirements, we will provide a detailed quotation based on garment style, quantities, branding, and printing requirements.

Step Three
Design Approval
We can create your design from scratch or refine existing artwork. High-resolution logos are required for the best print quality, and design concepts will be provided for approval before production begins.

Step Four
Deposit
Once your quotation and design is approved, a deposit is required to secure your reserved dates in our production schedule. Once deposit is received we may begin the production process.

Step Five
Production
From printing and pressing to being swiftly manufactured, your order is handled with care. Thereafter your order will undergo quality checks before it is packaged for dispatch.

Step Six
Final Payment
Once your order is complete the remaining balance payment is required. Once proof of payment is received, your order will be dispatched for the soonest delivery date.

Step Seven
Collection / Delivery
Your order can either be collected or delivered nationwide across South Africa. Your sales representative will arrange the most convenient delivery method.

CustomerWhat is the minimum order quantity?
Extreme WearMinimum order quantities vary by product, but most custom orders start from 20 units.
CustomerI only need a handful of shirts. Is that too small for you?
Extreme WearNot at all. We're built around bulk production, but small clubs, individuals and one-off events are always welcome. Get in touch and we'll find a fit that works for your numbers.
CustomerHow long does a bulk order actually take?
Extreme Wear4 weeks in off season, 6 weeks in peak season, once your design is signed off and deposit's in. Need it sooner? Expedited orders can be accommodated for at an additional cost, just ask.

Extreme WearYes! We can work from your previous designs or concepts and make updates while keeping your original vision intact.
CustomerWe don't have a logo yet. Can your team design one?
Extreme WearAbsolutely. Tell us your team name, colours and the feeling you're going for, and our designers can build a logo from scratch alongside your kit.
CustomerWhat file format should I send my logo in?
Extreme WearHigh-resolution PNG, AI, EPS or PDF work best for crisp sublimation. If all you've got is a low-res logo from WhatsApp, don't stress, we can usually recreate it for you.
CustomerHow would I get in touch with your designers directly?
Extreme WearYou can reach our design team through our sales consultants, by email, or via our social media, whichever's easiest for you.

CustomerWhat type of sublimation do you use?
Extreme WearWe use high-quality full-colour dye sublimation for vibrant colours, sharp detail and long-lasting durability, with no cracking or fading after a season of hard washes.
CustomerDo you provide samples before full production?
Extreme WearYes, digital mock-ups and physical samples can be arranged before full production begins, so nothing goes to the line until you've said "that's it."
CustomerWhat fabrics do you actually work with?
Extreme WearWe work with twelve performance fabrics in total, from breathable Birdseye to 4-way stretch Micro Active Stretch. Check out our Materials page for the full range and specs.
CustomerCan every player have their own name, number or colour?
Extreme WearOf course. Names, numbers and even small colour variations per player are all part of custom team sportswear. No two jerseys need to be identical.

Extreme WearYes! We offer a full range of kids' sizes depending on the garment style and design requirements, junior kits included.
CustomerWhat is your biggest size?
Extreme WearMost of our garments can go up to 5XL or higher on request. We can also provide sizing charts if required, so nobody's guessing.
CustomerDo you have cuts made specifically for women?
Extreme WearYes, our Female Wear collection covers sports bras, t-bar vests, skorts and tights, all cut for a proper fit rather than a shrunk-down unisex tee.
